Drywall, A Basement and a Picnic with Friends!

Last week I had my first picnic in my house. We started the festivities by having Kevin break in through my dining room window since my second set of keys *still* didn't work. Sam seems to approve of my house...mostly he likes the flags in my yard and all of the rocks!!

They spent the week taping and mudding my miles of drywall!



The basement floor has been poured and I finally got to walk on it. I am amazed at just how huge the basement feels!! Hooray!!

I Have a Real House!!!!

The siding and drywall are pretty much DONE!!!! It feels like a real house!!!!! Hooray!!!!

Still missing a bit of trim but not much!!!

Okay, so neither the siding nor the dry wall is complete but it is getting close!!! Hooray!!! Hooray!!!

Here is the house with siding and trim (neither done). There is also snow...welcome to Cleveland.

Drywall is covering the windows in a lot of these pictures. Here is the kitchen and sunroom (on the left).

The corner shelf that I made them unframe! It used to be just framed in wall but I hated to waste all of that space!!!
